If you're still reading you're probably wondering...
First, let's get something out in the open.
'Cellulite' is not a real thing. The term 'cellulite' was made up by salons and spas to describe the cottage cheese appearance found on the thighs and buttocks. It's just a word.
Many companies and marketers claim 'cellulite' is a special combination of fat, water, and "toxins" that build up in the legs. This is purelyfabricated and is a method they use to help sell their scammy cellulite products and treatments.
Unfortunately, many women are completely clueless when it comes to cellulite, and they buy into the propaganda. They spend hundreds and even thousands of dollars on these worthless "cellulite cures".
Experts agree, these so-called 'cellulite treatment' products are a temporary solution, AT BEST. The most they can do is temporarily alter blood flow to the affected area and make the skin look slightly smoother and tighter for a short time.
In reality, none of these treatments can give you permanent cellulite removal. It's not physically possible. Period.
There are no "toxins" to remove. In fact, it's been scientifically proven that 'cellulite' fat is exactly the same as ordinary fat. There is no difference whatsoever.
Several medical trials have proven that not only is cellulite nothing more than ordinary fat, but there are no "toxins", no water storage, and no difference in circulation between 'cellulite' and normal bodyfat.
So now you're probably asking... how can these companies be allowed to do this?
Unfortunately, the FDA does not have much control over the cosmetics industry. This means that these companies are often able to get away with using sleazy marketing tactics designed to rip women off. It's sickening, but true.
On the other hand, you'll be happy to know that the FTC has been cracking down on these scum bags for false advertising, forcing them to refund millions of unsatisfied customers. But still, the majority of women will continue to fall for these scams for some time to come.
What causes the cellulite appearance then?
Under your skin are strands of connective tissue that connect fat and muscle to the skin. Because fat is very soft, it doesn't keep our skin taut like muscle does. It also takes up more space, which makes it bulge out like stuffing in a mattress. Cellulite creams do not, and are not legally allowed to, penetrate the dermis. So how can they get rid of cellulite? You see the problem.
Women also tend to store most of their bodyfat in the hips, thighs, and buttocks where the skin is thinner and looser than normal skin. This makes the orange peel look much more visible. Men tend to deposit fat in the stomach region rather than the lower body. The stomach is more padded and thus you don't normally see the cottage cheese appearance there.
lack of the appropriate type of exercise
overproduction of estrogen
and excess consumption of the wrong foods
You should also note that cellulite gets more and more noticeable with age. One thing is certain...
